Autobis Tera–18 Mazoriya Road Project: Construction Update

Addis Ababa, October 27, 2026 (AACRA): As part of ongoing shortcut road projects designed to streamline urban traffic flow and reduce travel times, construction is actively progressing on the Autobis Tera Msalemiya–Number 18 Mazoriya road project.

The road project spans 3.4 kilometers in length and features a width of 40 meters.

In addition to standard roadworks, the project incorporates major engineering structures, including a bridge measuring up to 52 meters in length, retaining walls, and multi-level vehicular overpasses and underpasses.

Currently, large-scale earth excavation, filling operations, deep foundation works, concrete structures, massive bridge construction, and other core infrastructure components are well underway.

The project encompasses key segments, including the ring road connection from the Tor Hayl and Wingate direction toward Number 18 Mazoriya, the Liyuanda–Number 18 Mazoriya link, and other critical junctions.

Temporarily restricting traffic movement within the work zone has not only kept the construction schedule on track but has also ensured enhanced workplace safety.

The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority extends its gratitude to motorists for utilizing designated alternative routes to ease traffic congestion and support the rapid progress of construction.
