Addis Ababa, June 13, 2026  The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority’s General Council members and leaders at various levels held discussions on the 11‑month performance of the 2018 budget year and the next focus areas.

Engineer Muhidin Reshad, Director General of the Authority, who chaired the meeting, stated that the road construction and maintenance projects planned for the past 11 months were executed both day and night, resulting in performance beyond the planned targets. He praised the dedication and hard work shown by leaders and employees at all levels.

He added that the Authority was able to respond to community demands for good governance by addressing road projects that had been raised by the public.

For the remaining one month, the Director General emphasized completing the road projects that are due, preparing them for inauguration, giving special attention to flood‑prone areas, and ensuring all departments finalize their outstanding tasks.

Participants of the meeting noted that the outstanding performance recorded over the past 11 months is encouraging, and they affirmed their commitment to continue contributing to the institution’s effectiveness.

Additionally, the Authority presented its five‑year strategic plan and the initial plan for the 2019 budget year for discussion.
