The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority has announced that urgent responses are being provided in 119 locations across various areas of the city that are identified as high-risk and vulnerable to flooding.

Engineer Welela Shiferaw, Senior Technical Advisor for the Road Asset Sector at the Authority, stated that corrective work is being carried out in all areas of the city prone to flood risks.

The Advisor pointed out that partial and full corrective work has already been completed in 71 of the major flood-prone areas identified across the city.

Furthermore, it was noted that the work on the remaining 48 locations has been included in the upcoming 90-day plan and will be executed accordingly.
